The 585514 from Little Giant is an Aquarium Pump, 1/2HP, 115/230V. Specifically designed for in-line saltwater and freshwater aquarium circulation and filtration applications.

Little Giant TE-5.5-MDQ-SC features a leakproof, seal-less magnetic drive and a more quiet operation for freshwater and saltwater aquariums. This is a pressure applicable pump. The 'Quarium Series MDQ model was built to handle back pressure very well and is recommended for high head heights or for canister filtration systems. The volute, magnet housing and impeller of TE-5.5-MDQ-SC are glass-filled Polypropylene encapsulated for excellent chemical resistance. Ceramic shaft and thrust washers are 99.5% pure alumina provide unparalleled wear and trouble-free service. The Little Giant features 3/4" MNPT discharge and 1" FNPT Intake with head capacity of 44'. The newest TE-5.5-MDQ-SC boasts fluid temperature operation up to 140F and Buna-N (Nitrile) O-ring seals. Little Giant's powerful 1/2 HP thermally protected, totally enclosed, fan-cooled motor delivers 2150 GPH of fluids at 5' total dynamic head. Pumping heads are easily rotated, cleaned or serviced with no special tools required. Little Giant TE-5.5-MDQ-SC has been factory-tested for capacity, control operation and electrical continuity to assure maximum performance and safety. Conduit box must be wired in field.
